Our Story


I have always had a passion for food.  Growing up in Lebanon, I was heavily influenced by cooking with my mother.  I became his mother's right hand in the kitchen, who was famous in our family and though-out the region for her cooking.  Everyone wanted to come over to taste her amazing food.  

I left the country at the age of 19 to attend Culinary School in Canada. I came to Monterey to join my family who had been working in the hospitality industry. After years of working in selective hotels and restaurants, I decided to open up my open restaurant. I was lucky to partner with my lifetime friends Faisal Al-nemri, Ben Khader, and Jerees Rohana to open Mozaic in Santa Cruz. We all have the same vision towards hospitality and service.
